This is a second try to make a good working camera. Is starts with a Philips ToUCam-Pro webcam. See also: See also: http://astro.ai-software.com/
The webcam will be modified to make long exposures.
It is
necessary to place a extra IC (74HC00) For cooling, a use a Peltier device for cooling the hole cabinet and not only the CCD. These are the necessary parts.

The Peltier device (foreground) will be placed again the cool plate. The fan will transport the heat.

The front can be adjust by turning the screws at the front. The CCD will than adjust too. Now it is possible to change lenses without focusing again and again. The cabinet is made of PVC.

The black cable through the lens mount is a temperature probe. The temperature can readout and is adjustable. Alas the cooling doesn’t Works well. The course was the air is a good isolator and there is no circulation in the cabinet

I made holes for and behind the circuit board and made a ‘canal’ with fit with a fan (from a old CD burner) Now the cooling works wonderful. The heat exchange works extraordinary..
