M29 is a small but bright open cluster located in the rich star fields of Cygnus.
It contains a handful of young, hot O‑ and B‑type stars that give the cluster a
distinctive bluish appearance. Although not very large or densely populated, M29
stands out well against the surrounding Milky Way background. Its youth and
location within a star‑forming region make it an interesting object for studying
early stellar evolution. M29 is easily visible with small telescopes.
