Hyginus Rille is a narrow linear rille in Mare Vaporum, distinguished by its series of rimless collapse pits rather than typical volcanic channels. The central Hyginus feature is likely a volcanic collapse pit rather than an impact crater, marking the site of subsurface voids that gave way as the crust fractured. Hyginus Rille is included in the Lunar 100 because it is the best example of a rille containing rimless collapse pits, revealing rare evidence of subsurface collapse and tectonic activity on the Moon.
