NGC 205, also known as M110, is a dwarf elliptical galaxy and one of the satellite galaxies of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31). It appears as a smooth, elongated glow with subtle internal structure, including faint dust lanes and regions of recent star formation. These features make NGC 205 unusual among dwarf ellipticals, which typically lack young stars. The galaxy is part of the Local Group and lies close to Andromeda in the sky, making it a popular target for both visual observers and astrophotographers. Its proximity and mixed stellar population provide valuable insights into galaxy evolution and interactions within the Local Group.
