NGC 3532

NGC 3532
NGC 3532, also known as Caldwell 91, is a large and extremely rich open cluster located in the constellation Carina. It contains several hundred stars of varying colors, including bright blue-white main-sequence stars and numerous orange and red giants that give the cluster a striking visual diversity. Deep imaging reveals a wide, loosely concentrated structure with many double stars and colorful pairs scattered throughout the field. NGC 3532 is one of the finest open clusters in the southern sky and a spectacular target for both visual observers and wide-field astrophotographers.
