NGC 4346 is a lenticular galaxy located in Canes Venatici. It appears as a smooth, elongated
object with little visible internal structure, typical of S0-type galaxies. The galaxy shows
low star formation activity and is dominated by an older stellar population.
Although not visually prominent compared to the brighter spirals in Virgo, NGC 4346 is a
recognizable member of the cluster in deep imaging. Its clean, featureless profile makes it
a useful reference object when studying the morphology of lenticular galaxies within dense
cluster environments.
