NGC 650 and NGC 651 together form the Little Dumbbell Nebula (M76), a complex bipolar planetary nebula located in the constellation Perseus.
The two components represent opposite lobes of gas expelled by a dying star, shaped by strong stellar winds and intense radiation.
The nebula displays intricate filaments, overlapping shells, and regions of ionized gas that glow prominently in narrowband imaging.
