Armillary Sphere Sundial in the Herb Garden of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. This large silicon-bronze armillary sundial was designed by John Ward and Margaret Folkard and installed in 1994 in memory of Nigel Malcolm Hardy Arnott. Modelled on the celestial sphere, the gnomon is aligned with the South Celestial Pole, allowing the time to be read from the shadows cast by the armillary rings
