This remarkable vertical sundial is embedded in the walls of the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. The light-colored, triangular stone plate features a short metal pointer (gnomon) in the center that indicates the time. Along the edges, fine lines for the minutes are engraved, accompanied by Roman numerals (such as V, VI, and VII) and Hebrew letters.
